What do I need to bring?
We ask that you bring a bag every day with a spare change of clothes, rain coat, sun cream and sun hat.
If your child is in nappies, please bring spare nappies and wipes too.
What is the transition process for starting nursery?
When you receive confirmation of a place with us, we will arrange two visits before your child is due to start. Both visits will be 1 hour each.
On the first visit, we ask that you stay with your child. You will need to complete the admissions paperwork, this is a great opportunity to get to know the Nursery Practitioners working with your child and we will ask lots of questions to get to know your child e.g. food, allergies, sleep, routine and any favourite toys / comforters.
On the second visit, if you feel comfortable, we recommend leaving your child with us for an hour settling in visit.
When children transition from room to room within nursery, we start the transition process early, to allow children to become familiar with the new adults and environment. We take your child and a few friends to play in their next room with a familiar Nursery Practitioner from their current room. When a child starts a new room you will need to complete a new Care Sheet (this will initially be within the admissions paperwork) so our Nursery Practitioners are up-to-date with your child’s current needs and interests.
