As the children get older and become more independent, the activities become a little more demanding, but the emphasis is still on learning through play and having fun.
We are beginning to expand our continuous provision into more areas of the environment in comparison to the younger rooms and are beginning to encourage independence and self-help skills through practical day to day activities and routines such as toilet training, washing hands and finding coats on pegs.
We support the children’s development through our curriculum, which is a mixture of a topic based approach and following the interests of the children. We focus on children’s social skills, emotional development and development of speech and language.
