The Dragonflies Room is for children in their final year at nursery before transitioning onto their reception year within the school.

We enjoy learning through play and encourage children to further develop their independence and exploration skills through access to continuous provision in all areas of the indoor and outdoor environment. We have planned enhancements in these areas which are based around our topic and the needs and interests of the children.

In preparation for school we encourage self-help skills such as being independent at the toilet, being able to put their own coat on as well as ensuring a strong foundation in the prime areas of learning (personal, social and emotional development; physical and communication and language) and development in the specific areas of learning (literacy; mathematics; understanding the world and expressive arts and design).
